The Role:

The Procurement Category Manager role owns and leads the complete Sourcing Strategy for the assigned Category, driving the Strategic Commercial Relationship with vendors and building the vision and perspective of PBBs future supply strategy to have the right partners to secure supply, enable growth, and drive profitability through cost effectiveness and outstanding customer service while meeting PBBโ€™s Strategic goals in Innovation (New Products) and Sustainability. As owner of the Sourcing Strategy, this role is responsible to create and maintain a sound long term vision (3-5 years ahead), creating a sustainable path that enable the growth and secures the supply in the short and long term. Procurement Category roles are also responsible to drive the Strategic Savings initiatives through the creation of economies of scale, supply consolidation, growth leverage, contract negotiations and innovation (Supplier Partnerships).

What You Will Do: Sourcing
  • Own Sourcing Strategy and lead negotiations for the Category.
  • Plan and Lead RFQs execution in coordination with Procurement Operations team.
  • Own supply Category Partners identification, selection, and business awarding while including, engaging and aligning cross-functional organization.
  • Negotiate and execute Supply Agreements with key strategic partners.
  • Develop and maintain a 3-5 year sourcing strategy for the Category.
  • Responsible to involve and engage cross-functional project teams through the sourcing and procurement process.
  • Define contract terms and conditions to secure good Customer Service, Competitive pricing and good, long term, strategic Vendor Partnerships.
  • Have overall responsibility for the company to ensure supply while driving year over year cost savings for the Category.
  • Articulate and gain alignment from senior managers/executives on the implementation of the Sourcing strategies.
  • Bring industry leading Sourcing and procurement practices to execute upon the developed strategies.
  • Execute market analysis and provide continuous Inflation forecast for the Category
  • Provide thought leadership to achieve organization outcomes while ensuring that Weimanโ€™s policies and Core Values are upheld and adhered to.
Customer Service Support
  • Ensure having the right Category Partners to avoid supply disruptions.
  • Support escalations and provide the necessary commercial muscle to secure Customer Service, New Product launch targets and business continuity support from Category Partners.
  • Participate and support Supplier Performance (OTIF and Quality metrics) and Relationship Management Program in partnership with Procurement Operations team

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Supply (i.e. Procurement, Materials Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Logistics) or Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Product Supply.
  • Proven experience supporting large sourcing initiatives in the assigned categories.
  • Experience and knowledge of the markets and suppliers for Contract Manufacturing and Purchased Finished Goods.
  • Successfully lead negotiations for multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal senior/executive stakeholders and key suppliers to enable better outcomes.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and Presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are necessary to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills are a key success factor for this role.
  • Proven organizational skills & ability to perform under pressure & manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on a high-performing team in collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking and make informed decisions.

Compensation Range:

$121,000 - $148,000
