Job description

Job Description Step into a pivotal leadership role where your strategic supply chain expertise will directly shape operational performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This is a high-impact opportunity to own and optimise the end-to-end supply chain for a growing permanent division, driving efficiency, resilience, and scalability across a critical business unit. About the Role: As the Division Supply Chain Manager for this Fortune 250 company, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of all supply chain activities for the division, from demand forecasting through procurement, inventory, and supplier performance.

You will be accountable for building a robust, data-driven supply chain strategy that supports growth targets, reduces risk, and ensures consistent, on-time delivery. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate business objectives into actionable supply chain plans and measurable results. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the division's end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, service level, and cost objectives.

Lead demand forecasting and analysis processes to ensure accurate, data-driven plans that support production and inventory requirements. Design, implement, and continuously refine inventory management and optimisation strategies to balance service levels, working capital, and risk. Oversee procurement and sourcing activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve reliability, quality, cost, and innovation across the supply base. Partner with operations, finance, sales, and planning teams to align supply chain plans with production schedules, customer demand, and budget targets. Monitor key supply chain KPIs, analyse root causes of variance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.

Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in leading a supply chain management team with responsibility for end-to-end planning, procurement, and inventory within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic supply chain planning and execution, including network, capacity, and materials planning. Strong track record in inventory management and optimisation, including safety stock modelling, reorder strategies, and working capital improvement. Hands-on experience with supplier relationship management, including performance metrics, risk mitigation, and contract management.

Advanced skills in demand forecasting and analysis using data-driven methods and relevant planning tools or ERP/MRP systems. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with operations, finance, sales, and senior leadership. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.

Effective leadership and people management capabilities, with experience directing and developing supply chain or planning teams.
