Delivery Driver (1099 Contractor)

Purpose:

As a Contract 1099 Delivery Driver with Edible, you will deliver sweet and delightful products to customers with efficiency and care. You have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our customers' day by ensuring that their delivery is on time and in great condition, leaving recipients delighted with their Edible experience.

As an independent contractor, you will use your vehicle for deliveries.


Store Location: This role will be based out of our Corporate Store in San Antonio, Texas.

Store Address: 13410 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers Edible products to customers in an efficient, courteous, accurate, and timely manner 
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service to recipients and delivers a WOW experience 
  • Gathers and organizes delivery tickets by area 
  • Log tickets in the phone app
  • Loads product in your vehicle in a manner suitable for safe transport
  • Operate your vehicle safely and responsibly, strictly adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and rules of the road
  • Communicate with the store team regarding delivery status and any issues

Requirements:

  • Must have a reliable vehicle for deliveries
  • Current, valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • Ability to provide proof of auto vehicle insurance
  • Experience as a “Courier Driver” is preferred, not required
  • Must have a smartphone with a willingness to download a mobile application to enable deliveries and delivery tracking

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to conduct frequent lifting, carrying, and/or pushing objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for long periods, up to 85% of the work shift.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
