Responsibilities
Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer to support the NAVAIR Digital Department at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. This position plays a critical role in modernizing NAVAIR's digital infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workflow automation, application development, and business intelligence, with preferred experience in secure DoW environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps to meet mission-critical requirements.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces and integrate applications with other systems such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Azure.
  • Build and optimize workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and integrate workflows with external systems.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Connect to various data sources, model data, and create visualizations to support NAVAIR's digital transformation initiatives.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft tools such as Teams, Office 365, and third-party systems.
  • Customize solutions using Power Platform connectors, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Ensure solutions comply with DoW security policies, including DISA STIGs and DoW Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide.
  • Implement role-based access control and manage Identity and Access Management, including DoW Common Access Card and Public Key Infrastructure integration.
  • Work closely with NAVAIR mission owners, program managers, and development teams to provide architectural guidance and technical support.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on incident response, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, security configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Apply process improvement techniques to optimize workflows and enhance system performance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT architecture, with a strong preference for DoW or Department of the Navy experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Power Platform such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power Platform tools and technologies.
  • Experience with APIs, connectors, and system integration.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Exceptional Requirements Gathering: Proven track record of successfully eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements from non-technical stakeholders. -
  • Design Thinking: A strong creative mindset with an eye for UI/UX principles, ensuring apps are not only functional but highly intuitive and visually appealing.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to a business audience.
  • Agile Adaptability: Experience managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly to changing business needs.
  • Preferred: On-site in the Patuxent River, MD area, though remote opportunities will also be considered.

Compensation Statement
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00
