Job Summary

The Senior AI Solutions Engineer designs, develops, deploys, and supports Enterprise Generative AI solutions that enable employees to work more efficiently, automate business processes, and make better business decisions. This role combines software engineering, AI engineering, data engineering, and business consulting to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready AI capabilities across the enterprise. Working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams, the Senior AI Solutions Engineer identifies opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can create measurable business value and transforms those opportunities into enterprise solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where Generative AI can improve business processes and create measurable business value.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise AI applications using approved development standards.
  • Develop AI workflows and automations utilizing enterprise platforms.
  • Develop integrations between AI solutions and enterprise applications using APIs and modern integration patterns.
  • Build and optimize prompts, AI agents, and contextual workflows to improve accuracy, usability, and business outcomes.
  • Leverage enterprise data platform to prepare, analyze, and integrate enterprise data into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Monitor application performance, reliability, model effectiveness, and operational costs while continuously improving delivered solutions.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Data teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
  • Develop technical documentation, solution designs, operational procedures, and end-user documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend enhancements to the Enterprise AI platform and engineering practices.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for deployed AI solutions.
  • Promote responsible AI practices by ensuring solutions comply with security, privacy, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
  • Experience developing software using Python, SQL, Node/React JS, REST APIs, JSON, and Git.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Experience with enterprise AI technologies including Open WebUI, LiteLLM, n8n, Databricks, Glean, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering, data integration, and working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise business applications and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
  • Commitment to continuous learning in rapidly evolving AI technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma (or GED).
  • Minimum of eight (8) or more years of experience in software development, AI engineering, application development, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing scalable enterprise applications.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting production applications.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical solution delivery while partnering directly with business stakeholders.
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Open WebUI, LiteLLM, n8n, Glean, and Databricks.
  • Experience developing Generative AI applications using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or similar Gen AI Systems.
  • Experience implementing AI Agents, vector databases, embeddings, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Experience supporting enterprise AI governance and responsible AI initiatives.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
