Job description

Position: Informatica Power Center Developer

Location- Branchville, NJ

Duration: Long term Contract

Work Mode: X Days onsite

This position requires onsite in Branchville NJ . We are seeking a consultant who is local to

New Jersey. 

Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on development and support of new and existing data integration applications using Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS, or equivalent), with a strong focus on code quality, deployments, and operational stability.
- Informatica coding and implementation: design and build mappings, mapplets, reusable transformations, workflows, sessions, parameter files, and deployment artifacts; implement error handling, logging, and restartability.
- SQL analysis and optimization: author and tune complex SQL queries, analyze execution plans, optimize joins/index usage, and implement set-based transformations for performance and scalability.
- Translate business requirements into data solutions: work with business analysts to profile source data, define transformation logic, and validate outputs against business rules.
- Architectural collaboration: work closely with Application and Enterprise Architects to implement low-level designs aligned with established data flow and governance standards.
- Production support and incident management: troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
- Code quality and standards: follow established coding standards, participate in code reviews, and ensure maintainable and reusable development practices.
- Documentation and knowledge transfer: maintain clear and detailed technical documentation for mappings, data models, interfaces, and downstream integrations.
- Prioritization and execution: work with product owners and project managers to deliver enhancements, new development, and maintenance tasks within defined timelines.
- Exposure to modern platforms: contribute to initiatives involving ELT/modern data platforms (Databricks preferred), automation, and orchestration tools.
- Stakeholder communication: provide regular updates on development progress, risks, and blockers to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- X–X+ years of hands-on experience developing Data Warehouse, data integration, or data engineering solutions.
- Strong Informatica expertise: experience building and maintaining mappings, workflows, parameterization, reusable components, and deployment packages.
- Advanced SQL skills: ability to write, profile, and optimize complex SQL; experience with query tuning, indexing strategies, and analyzing execution plans.
- Data modeling knowledge: understanding of dimensional and normalized modeling, including star/snowflake schemas.
- Experience with ELT and modern stacks: exposure to Databricks or INFORMATICA platforms preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for production support, performance issues, and data quality problems.
- Good communication skills: able to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders and contribute to clear documentation.
