Summary:

This role will enhance, expand, and operationalize enterprise analytics capabilities to support data‑informed decision‑making across a higher education environment. The Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and improving dashboards, metrics, and analytical solutions that support academic, enrollment, student success, and operational outcomes. The Analytics Manager works closely with academic leaders, administrators, and institutional stakeholders to translate complex questions into actionable analytics products. This role emphasizes hands‑on development using modern analytics tools, continuous improvement of analytics capabilities, and project leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analytics Enablement

  • Design, develop, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions to support academic, student, and institutional decision‑making
  • Build and refine analytical datasets, metrics, and predictive models
  • Develop analytics solutions using Power BI and related tools, ensuring clarity, usability, and performance
  • Improve existing analytics assets by enhancing data quality, metric consistency, and visualization effectiveness

AI-Enabled Analytics & Advanced Capabilities

  • Contribute to the development of AI‑enabled analytics capabilities, such as automated insights, text analysis, classification, or predictive reporting
  • Apply AI tools responsibly to enhance analytics workflows, reporting efficiency, and insight generation
  • Partner with data and platform teams to operationalize analytics products that incorporate AI or advanced analytical techniques.

Analytics Operations & Standards

  • Support analytics standards related to data definitions, metric consistency, documentation, and reporting practices
  • Collaborate with data engineering and integration teams to ensure analytics solutions are aligned to available data pipelines and sources
  • Monitor and support the reliability, accuracy, and performance of analytics products
  • Contribute to analytics governance efforts, including access controls, documentation, and responsible data use.

Project & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead analytics initiatives and projects from intake through delivery, managing scope and priorities
  • Work directly with academic and administrative stakeholders to define requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to analysts and contributors, with the opportunity for expanded leadership responsibilities as the function grows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • At least one relevant certification
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles
  • Hands‑on experience developing production‑grade dashboards and analytics solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, and Power BI
  • Experience supporting analytics initiatives within higher education or similar complex institutional environments
  • Experience leading or contributing to analytics projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
