Job Summary

The Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for leading the organization’s data analytics strategy, measurement frameworks, reporting capabilities, and analytical initiatives related to customer behavior, product performance, and business outcomes across all purchasing channels. This role partners closely with leadership to leverage internal and external data sources to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, improve customer engagement, and drive business performance.

The Manager, Data Analytics oversees a team of analysts and external partners while serving as a subject matter expert in customer insights, loyalty analytics, reporting, competitive intelligence, and business performance measurement. Key areas of focus include customer purchasing behavior, loyalty program effectiveness, eCommerce analytics, voice of customer programs, pricing and promotional performance, marketing effectiveness, demographic research, and enterprise reporting and dashboard development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, analysis, and delivery of actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership across key business functions.
  • Synthesize data from multiple internal and external sources – including customer, product, competitive, market, and industry data – to develop strategic recommendations that support business objectives.
  • Manage and develop a team of 1-2 analysts while overseeing the work of external vendors and partners to ensure successful execution of analytics initiatives.
  • Provide strategic and operational oversight for the Company's self-managed loyalty program, including ongoing optimization, performance measurement, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary business partner for competitive intelligence platforms, ensuring data accuracy, effective measurement practices, and optimal utilization of available insights.
  • Design, implement, and maintain measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools that evaluate customer, product, digital, and organizational performance.
  • Lead the execution of ad hoc research, analytical studies, and process improvement initiatives, maintaining accountability from project scoping through implementation and delivery.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Digital, Finance, Operations, Customer Relations, and Merchandising to address analytical needs and support business priorities.
  • Establish and promote best practices in data governance, reporting consistency, and analytical methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting automation, operational efficiencies, and organizational decision-making through advanced analytics.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in customer insights, shopper analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, with the ability to translate findings into clear and actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and insights effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, reporting automation, and data visualization best practices.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new analytical tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL required.
  • Experience with data modeling preferred; experience with Snowflake, Python, or other advanced analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Highly collaborative with proven success working cross-functionally and building effective partnerships across all levels of an organization.
