Job description

Job Description LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Business Analyst - Power BI for a contract opportunity with our client in Bedford, TX. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Power BI report and dashboard development to support reporting and analytics initiatives in an auto finance environment. This is a hands-on contract role requiring an individual who can quickly understand business processes and data, perform meaningful analysis, and independently develop effective Power BI reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI and analytical capabilities with practical auto finance knowledge. Experience analyzing vehicle remarketing, lease maturities, maturity billing and collections, lease extensions, vehicle returns, and disposition activity within an auto captive, bank, or auto finance company would be particularly valuable. The individual should be comfortable working independently with business stakeholders, understanding the underlying business question, analyzing the appropriate data, and delivering accurate and useful reporting solutions within a defined contract period.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and management scorecards. Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements. Analyze financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable business insights.

Develop and maintain Power BI data models, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and visualizations. Query and validate data using SQL and other available data sources. Improve and automate existing Excel or manually produced reports.

Document reporting logic, business definitions, and data requirements. Prior auto finance remarketing & end-of-lease experience is highly desired, particularly experience working for an automotive captive finance company, bank, independent auto finance company, or vehicle remarketing organization including familiarity with: End-of-lease and vehicle maturity processes Vehicle grounding, disposition and sales performance Auction, vendor, and channel performance Maturity receivables and collections Auction performance and Inventory aging / days-to-sale Residual values and vehicle valuations Loss severity and net recovery analysis Qualifications 3+ years of Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Financial Analysis, or Business Intelligence experience. Demonstrated experience developing professional Power BI dashboards and reports.

Strong working knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and become productive quickly in a contract environment. Preferred Technical Environment Microsoft Power BI / Power BI Service Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Excel Relational databases and data warehouses AWS or other cloud-based data environments The base range for this contract position is $65.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience
