Job description

Paragon Cyber Solutions is an award-winning cybersecurity consulting firm providing services to both federal and commercial clients. Our expertise includes cybersecurity assessments, compliance, governance, risk management, penetration testing, cloud security, managed cybersecurity services, and virtual CISO support.

We're seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist responsible for generating qualified opportunities and helping grow Paragon's federal and commercial business. This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on creating measurable business growth through strategic outreach, partnerships, referrals, and direct client engagement.

Success will be measured by qualified pipeline, new customer relationships, contract awards, and revenue generated.

We're not looking for someone who simply tracks activities or attends networking events.

If you enjoy opening doors, connecting people, and growing businesses, we'd love to hear from you.

We believe in earning long-term partnerships. This role will begin as a contract (1099) position, or SkillBridge/HoH, with the potential to transition to a full-time W-2 role for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and align with Paragon's long-term vision.

Requirements

  • Experience developing business within the federal government contracting market, including direct federal opportunities, subcontracting, teaming, or strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and develop new federal and commercial business opportunities.
  • Build relationships with prime contractors, commercial organizations, and strategic partners.
  • Generate qualified meetings for Paragon leadership.
  • Develop teaming opportunities with complementary businesses.
  • Identify subcontracting opportunities.
  • Support capture strategies and proposal efforts when needed.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Represent Paragon professionally in meetings, networking events, and industry discussions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop growth strategies for emerging markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of business development, sales, account management, or partnership experience.
  • Experience selling professional services, consulting, IT, cybersecurity, or technology solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Existing professional network is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Benefits

Base pay plus performance-based commission. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition to a full-time salary, benefits, and bonus structure based on performance and mutual fit.
