Client Overview:

Vernovis is partnering with a manufacturing organization in Western Massachusetts that is seeking interim leadership to support its accounting and finance function during a period of transition.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Oversee manufacturing accounting activities including inventory, standard costing, WIP, and cost variances
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting for leadership
  • Manage day to day accounting operations, including AR, AP, and cash flow oversight
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and resolve issues
  • Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support ERP/system clean up as needed

What Experience You’ll Have:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience as a Controller or Interim Controller
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing financials
  • Proven ownership of month end close and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
  •  

What Experience Is Nice to Have:

  • CPA or CMA certification
  • ERP implementation or optimization experience
  • Prior interim or consulting experience
