Troy Design and Manufacturing Co. is hiring an experienced Tool & Die Technician to build, maintain, and repair precision tooling and stamping dies.

This is a craft role for someone who takes pride in working to close tolerances and producing clean work. You'll split your time between toolmaking and die repair, fabricating new tooling from blueprints and CAD specs, then diagnosing and repairing stamping dies to keep production running.

  • Partner with engineering and quality to optimize die performance

What we're looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED (Tool & Die apprenticeship or technical certificate preferred)
  • 4+ years in tool making and die repair in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong grasp of stamping dies, tool steel properties, and precision machining
  • Skilled in welding, grinding, polishing, and finishing complex geometry
  • Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and part drawings
  • High Pressure Die Casting experience preferred

The details:

  • Competitive pay: $42.50/hour
  • Shift flexibility required: day, afternoon, and night shifts (M–F, 8 hrs) plus alternating weekend shifts (12 hrs, Fri–Sun)
