Wachter is accepting applications for a CAD Operator. The role is responsible for the design, planning, and engineering of the network cable infrastructure (structured cabling, pathways, outlets, equipment build-out, etc.) within various environments nationwide. 
 
 
 
Responsibilities:

Create or modify pre/post-construction drawings using existing drawing files and/or sketches provided by others (structural, civil, mechanical, and/or visual/conceptual)

Consult designers and project managers to discuss and interpret design plans and determine requirements for detailed working drawings

Draft detail and assembly drawings for construction, including wiring schematics (line drawings)

Create indexing, legends, sheet sets, and/or bill of materials for designs

Stay up to date on industry and engineering standards

Maintain Wachter's high standard of quality and professionalism regarding workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance

Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein which your supervisor may assign

Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA

 
Experience:
                                                       
                  
  • 3-5 Years of CAD Drafting experience
  • High School Graduate or equivalent 
  • Demonstrated ability to create, edit, and maintain drawings
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Proficient with the use of computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Officeprograms
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills
  •  Self-motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
