Job description

What You Will Do

Are you a CAD Technician / Project Support Engineer with a passion for producing accurate, highquality technical drawings? We're looking for a detailfocused professional to support the design and delivery of security projects by producing compliant CAD outputs and managing project design documentation. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work from our Crawley OR Letchworth offices, while also offering the flexibility to work from home as part of a balanced and collaborative working environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, technical work and contributing to successful project delivery.

How You Will Do It

As a CAD Technician, you will:

  • Produce 2D CAD drawings including security layouts, general arrangements, diagrams, and system schematics using software such as AutoCAD.
  • Interpret design inputs, sketches, and specifications from Design Engineers to create accurate drawings.
  • Update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site updates, and engineering feedback.
  • Prepare drawing packs, schematics, and design documentation for project teams and clients.
  • Maintain drawing registers
  • Manage project documentation within SharePoint
  • Ensure all outputs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers, Project Managers, and wider project teams to support smooth delivery.

  • Proven experience working as a CAD Technician
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce precise technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret engineering or architectural documentation.
  • Experience managing project documentation
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach with good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
