In this role, you will combine technical excellence with curiosity and a passion for solving complex, real-world business problems. You will help drive digital transformation through automation, workflow optimization, and scalable software solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

As a Senior Engineer, you will shape and build strategic solutions end-to-end, contributing to architecture, writing production-quality code, and leading technical discussions that turn ideas into reality. You will drive innovation through technical leadership and influence, helping elevate engineering practices, mentoring team members, and advancing technical initiatives across the organization.

We are looking for someone with strong, hands-on experience building production-grade solutions using AI and LLM-based development frameworks, including automation and autonomous agent systems within enterprise environments. If you enjoy solving meaningful challenges while combining software development expertise with technical leadership, we would like to hear from you.

Location:Candidates must reside in Minnesota, Illinois, or the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business, product, and stakeholder requirements into detailed technical solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions aligned with long-term product, platform, and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Define APIs, service boundaries, data contracts, and integration patterns while developing high-quality software and contributing to architectural decisions.
  • Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools, coding assistants, and agentic engineering workflows to improve development, testing, documentation, debugging, and operational support activities.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment to validate AI-generated outputs for security, quality, maintainability, performance, licensing, and architectural alignment.
  • Break complex initiatives into actionable components while maintaining accountability for solution quality and delivery.
  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks, quality controls, regression testing processes, and deployment safeguards.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize, refactor, standardize, and reuse code to improve performance, scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  • Lead code reviews, including review of AI-assisted code contributions, while driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to application performance, reliability, availability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain technical, architectural, operational, and decision documentation.
  • Implement secure software development practices and proactively address vulnerabilities throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Estimate delivery timelines, resource requirements, risks, dependencies, and technical complexity for projects and initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, tools, and automation opportunities to improve engineering effectiveness and business results.
  • Present recommendations for technology adoption, automation, AI-assisted development practices, and engineering improvements.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on software design, development best practices, AI-assisted workflows, testing methodologies, and operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Improve engineering lifecycle processes through automation, tooling, CI/CD enhancements, monitoring solutions, templates, and documentation standards.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen development practices, team productivity, and technical excellence.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
