Project Manager

Zielies Tree Service Inc., a leader in Vegetation Management Services, is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Travel will be required to neighboring states.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will lead execution of utility vegetation management contracts by managing financial performance, schedules, client relationships, production forecasting, compliance, and leadership of General Foremen.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Lead General Foremen and operational planning.
  • Serve as primary operational client contact.
  • Manage contract compliance, risk, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate utility operations and incident response.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible utility vegetation management, forestry, construction, or related operational experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client expectations.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned service territory and respond to operational needs outside normal working hours when required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project, financial, GIS, and operational reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry, arboriculture, natural resources, business, construction management, or a related field.
  • ISA Certified Arborist & ISA Utility Specialist credential.
  • State pesticide applicator license.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar utility vegetation management contracts.
  • Demonstrated financial-management, forecasting, and continuous-improvement experience.

Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered where appropriate.

Physical & Work Environment:

Frequent travel; exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions; ability to inspect work sites; occasional lifting consistent with field operations; compliance with all company PPE requirements.
