GRC / Risk Platform Developer
Location: Urbandale, IA (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a Developer with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Risk domain familiarity to help drive a transformation. This role blends hands-on development and workflow automation with operational risk assessment support. The position involves a balance between development and automation work and risk operations support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, configure, and automate workflows within a modern GRC platform.
  • Support the migration and modernization of legacy system customizations into a scalable, maintainable solution.
  • Build integrations using APIs, JSON, SQL, and ETL processes to connect GRC tools with other systems.
  • Partner with risk owners to support ongoing operational risk assessments, issue tracking, and control monitoring.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with GRC, Enterprise Risk, Information Security, and reporting teams.
  • Help improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency across risk programs.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional development experience is required. This includes hands-on experience configuring or developing in GRC platforms.
Technical Skills: Candidates must have hands-on experience with SQL, APIs, data formats like JSON, ETL or data integration processes, and workflow automation.
Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with GRC concepts and risk frameworks, such as operational risk, controls, issues, and assessments, is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting platform upgrades or tool migrations.
  • Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity risk concepts.
  • Experience working in regulated industries like insurance, financial services, or banking.
Compensation & Benefits
A pay rate between $70.00 and $80.00 per hour is offered for this position. This employer provides a benefits package which may be available to eligible employees.
