Job description

Contracts Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (On Site) Department: Preconstruction
Contracts Administrator
GCON Inc. | Phoenix, AZ (On-Site) | Preconstruction
GCON builds some of the most demanding projects in the industry, including semiconductor fabrication facilities and mission-critical data centers. These projects run on precision, and that starts with the agreements behind them. As our Contracts Administrator, you'll own the commercial agreements, subcontracts, NDAs, and vendor contracts that keep those projects moving, from the first draft through execution and close-out.
This role suits someone who likes solving problems, working across departments, and taking real ownership of their work. You'll make independent decisions within your area while learning directly from experienced leaders in legal, finance, operations, and project management. If you're looking to grow from contract administration into a broader strategic contracts career, this is a place built to get you there.
What You'll Do
Contract Administration
  • Draft, review, revise, and administer commercial agreements, subcontracts, NDAs, purchase orders, and vendor contracts
  • Maintain contract files, amendments, renewals, and correspondence across the full contract lifecycle
  • Track milestones, expirations, insurance requirements, and compliance obligations

Risk Review
  • Review agreements for completeness, consistency, and compliance with company standards
  • Identify contractual risks or commercial concerns and recommend practical language revisions
  • Escalate legal or higher-risk matters appropriately, with thoughtful recommendations attached

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, Risk Management, and Legal to keep contracts moving on schedule
  • Serve as a go-to resource internally on contract terms, processes, and documentation
  • Build strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners

Process Improvement
  • Help build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Recommend improvements that streamline contract workflows
  • Keep records, approvals, and supporting documentation accurate and audit-ready
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3 to 7 years in contract administration, commercial contracts, procurement, subcontract administration, or legal operations
  • Experience reviewing commercial agreements and contract documentation, and spotting issues before they become problems
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Clear, confident communication with stakeholders across departments and seniority levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, mission-critical, or commercial real estate industries
  • Familiarity with AIA documents, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and vendor contracts
  • Experience with ERP or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems such as CMiC, Oracle, SAP Ariba, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, or CobbleStone
  • Working knowledge of contract negotiation principles and commercial risk management
Why GCON
We're a people-first construction management company building more than award-winning projects. We're building careers. Our teams work on some of the most technically demanding facilities in the country, and we back that work with a culture that values independent thinking, continuous improvement, and genuine ownership over your piece of the business.
GCON is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
