Job description

Lead the Future of Sustainable Solutions! Join us as a Product Sales Manager for Recovery Boilers and drive innovation, growth, and impact.
The Product Sales Manager - Recovery Boilers is responsible for driving order growth, market development, and customer engagement for the recovery boiler product line. This role combines deep technical understanding with strong commercial acumen to position the company's technologies, solutions, and lifecycle services competitively in the pulp and paper market.
The Product Sales Manager partners closely with regional sales, technical engineering, product management, and project execution teams to develop winning sales strategies, create compelling value propositions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Sales Leadership
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual order and margin targets for recovery boilers service and capital opportunities.
  • Active role in sales process from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and handover to project execution teams.
  • Support the development and delivery of customer proposals, technical presentations, and commercial offers.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility using CRM tools.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with pulp and paper producers, mill leadership, procurement teams, and technical specialists.
  • Conduct customer visits, discovery meetings, and solution workshops to understand operational needs and identify value-added opportunities.
  • Serve as the customer's primary commercial contact throughout the sales cycle.

Product & Technical Expertise
  • Maintain deep knowledge of recovery boiler technologies, auxiliary systems, and industry operating standards.
  • Translate complex technical features into clear customer value (e.g., energy efficiency, safety, capacity, emissions performance, and lifecycle cost).
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management to configure optimized solutions based on customer requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with local and global technology teams on market trends, competitor analysis, and portfolio development.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and competitive costing of offers.
  • Support marketing efforts through product messaging, case studies, and industry events.
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to promote rebuilds, upgrades, and reliability-improvement packages.

Market Development
  • Identify emerging customer needs, new business opportunities, and technology gaps in the market.
  • Track industry trends, major customer investments, and competitor activities.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and customer events.

Expectations:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Business, or related mill experience
  • 5-10 + years of experience in pulp mills, recovery boilers, or pulp and paper technologies.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills with ability to navigate complex capital projects.
  • Familiarity with kraft process operations, liquor cycle, combustion systems, emissions control, and pressure-part design.
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics).
