About the Role

About the Role: The Key Accounts team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing relationships with KUB’s largest commercial and industrial customers. The team serves as the primary liaison between KUB and its key customers, providing a high level of specialized customer service. This role will support the team’s efforts and KUB’s largest customers by ensuring accurate billing, addressing account issues, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve processes and service. Regular duties include reviewing customer utility accounts, calculating customer utility bills, performing rate comparisons, performing economic analysis, managing contracts and programs, producing and maintaining process documentation, developing reports and presentations, preparing supporting materials for internal and external engagements, performing budgetary tasks, and assisting with projects and initiatives. The individual in this role will work cooperatively with a variety of internal and external groups, including KUB management, to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a typical office environment. Duties involve sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing. The role may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items up to 10 pounds. Bending, stooping, or reaching may occasionally be required. Physical demands may vary by position and may occasionally exceed those described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a preferred major in Accounting/Finance, Business/Data Analytics, Engineering, Technology, or another technical or business-related field

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in rate analysis, account analysis, and/or financial analysis, ideally within the utility or energy industry

Ability to interpret and analyze interval data and complicated rate schedules for large commercial and industrial customers

Demonstrate strong analytical, technical, project management, problem solving, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment to complete projects in a timely manner

Experience in contract management and process documentation

Understanding of SQL basics and Power BI; proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:

Ability to perform economic analysis including revenue and margin projections and calculating contribution in aid of construction (CIAC)

Experience working with complex billing engines such as Lodestar or similar software

Ability to perform rate analysis and rate comparisons and develop customer rate impact reports
