Job description

Position Summary: We're partnering with a growing manufacturer supporting some of the most innovative aerospace & launch vehicle programs in operation today and are seeking a Product Development Engineer to help expand its engineering team as demand continues to accelerate.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly on advanced aerospace applications supporting next-generation launch systems and satellite technologies.
As a Product Development Engineer, you will drive projects from concept through production launch, working closely with customers, manufacturing teams, and engineering stakeholders to develop high-performance products in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in feasibility assessments, design reviews, product development activities, and manufacturing collaboration while helping scale an emerging aerospace-focused business. This position requires an engineer who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and confidently engage with customers throughout the development process.
Essential position functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Meet requirements of PDE I job description
  • Apply the fundamentals of mechanical theory, material properties, test protocols and basic manufacturing processes to daily projects.
  • Develop component and system level product designs utilizing engineering applications in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Interpret and understand customer inputs and communicate Shape outputs to customers.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to meet development timelines.
  • Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum of five years prior experience in a product, process or manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a product development role.
  • Must be ITAR Compliant
  • Experience with Aluminum
  • Aluminum machining or general processing knowledge is a strong plus
  • Aluminum Extrusion experience helpful but not required
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience with DFMEA and customer PPAPs.
  • Prior experience with vehicle packaging.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
