Position Overview
The Sales Account Manager plays a key role in strengthening and expanding the Great Openings (our dealer brand) furniture sales business by building strong dealer partnerships, delivering outstanding customer experience, and winning high-impact projects. This role is focused on connecting the right product solutions to customer needs while driving growth across multiple industries, channels, and contract types.
This position requires flexibility and curiosity-someone who is energized by learning different market segments (education, healthcare, corporate, government), navigating various sales channels, and adapting to evolving customer requirements. The Sales Account Manager will help grow and strengthen our core furniture sales team while supporting contract-based opportunities as part of a balanced, strategic approach.
Success in this role comes from combining strong relationship-building skills with an entrepreneurial mindset- identifying opportunities, developing programs, and taking initiative to create momentum in the market. A key focus will be leveraging modern tools, including AI-enabled insights, to improve data analysis, refine our sales methodology, enhance forecasting accuracy, and drive consistent, measurable results.

Collaborate effectively across Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service
Exercise strong business judgment and decision-making in a fast-moving environment
Confidently engage with Dealer business leadership to identify and advance strategic growth opportunities
Position Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with Dealer partners across assigned territories
2. Proactively engage Dealer organizations, including business leadership, to identify opportunities and drive growth
3. Develop, quote, and win projects by aligning product solutions with end customer needs
4. Support contract-based sales opportunities (including GSA, State, and cooperative contracts) as part of an overall channel strategy
5. Ensure execution excellence and compliance within applicable contract programs
6. Lead follow-up and coordination with internal and external teams to deliver accurate quotes, orders, and project outcomes
7. Utilize CRM systems to manage opportunities, tasks, customer data, and market insights
8. Contribute to sales tools, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning efforts
9. Analyze performance data and trends to inform strategy, improve forecasting, and identify growth opportunities
10. Support continuous improvement of sales processes, quoting accuracy, and overall execution
11. Maintain strong market awareness through customer engagement, industry events, and competitive insight
  • Position Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, including Dealer ownership and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and follow through to completion
  • Strong analytical and application planning skills
  • Proven experience in sales, quoting, and customer relationship management
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and specification or quoting tools
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop programs and drive initiatives
  • High level of adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to learn across industries and channels
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach Preferred / Bonus

Qualifications:
  • Experience in the commercial furniture industry
  • Familiarity with contract-based selling environments (GSA, State, or cooperative purchasing programs)
