Data Engineer (Remote, Contract - Through Year End)
About the Role
Join an exciting, enterprise-scale data modernization initiative as a Data Engineer, partnering with a forward-thinking team to build and enhance a cutting-edge data platform utilizing Databricks and Microsoft Azure. You'll provide hands-on development and technical direction, directly shaping the accessibility and usefulness of enterprise data to accelerate analytics and enable future AI capabilities. This fully remote contract offers immediate impact opportunities and the chance to advance your cloud-based data engineering skills in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, and SQL
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation processes across diverse sources
- Develop robust data layers to enhance accessibility for BI, analytics, and AI initiatives
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value data products
- Create and refine datasets to support Power BI reporting and analytics
- Integrate and standardize data for enterprise-wide analytics, particularly in workers' compensation
- Contribute to data architecture decisions and establish best practices in Azure and Databricks
