Position Summary
The Warehouse & Parts Delivery Driver supports Goodfellow Corporation's Reno parts operation through safe, timely, and accurate deliveries and dependable warehouse support. The position delivers parts, equipment, and materials to customers, job sites, vendors, and Goodfellow locations while also receiving inventory, pulling and staging orders, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the warehouse organized.
This role is a key point of contact for customers and must consistently demonstrate professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Essential Functions

  • Deliver parts, components, equipment, and materials safely and on schedule to customers, vendors, job sites, and Goodfellow branch locations.
  • Verify delivery tickets, packing slips, and customer orders for completeness and accuracy before departure.
  • Load, unload, secure, and transport materials using proper lifting techniques and load-securement practices.
  • Obtain customer signatures and maintain complete, accurate delivery documentation.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with federal, state, local, and company safety requirements.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report maintenance needs, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic preventive care of assigned delivery vehicles.
  • Pull, stage, package, label, and prepare customer and branch orders for shipment, pickup, or delivery.
  • Receive incoming inventory; unload shipments; inspect for damage or shortages; and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Sort and stock parts and materials in designated racks, shelves, or bins while maintaining accurate locations and orderly storage.
  • Complete inventory transactions using RF scanners, barcode systems, inventory software, or the company's ERP system.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories; research and promptly report inventory discrepancies.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment after required training and certification.
  • Assist customers and coworkers with loading materials and confirm loads are properly secured before departure.
  • Communicate delivery delays, customer concerns, damaged freight, shortages, and inventory discrepancies to the Parts Manager promptly.
  • Maintain clean and safe shelves, pallet areas, workstations, aisles, loading areas, and warehouse equipment.
  • Follow company safety policies and applicable OSHA, MSHA, DOT, PPE, and site-specific requirements.
  • Represent Goodfellow Corporation professionally through courteous customer interactions, responsible driving, and appropriate appearance.
  • Assist with other warehouse, shipping, receiving, delivery, and Parts Department duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This position combines warehouse, driving, outdoor, and customer-site work. Employees may work in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, dust, and snow. Warehouse duties involve exposure to forklifts, cranes, moving equipment, heavy machinery, noise, and industrial environments. Deliveries may require navigating uneven terrain and active construction, mining, or aggregate-production sites. Required personal protective equipment must be worn as applicable.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally move heavier materials with assistance or material-handling equipment.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, crouch, climb, reach, and twist.
  • Use hands to handle parts, tools, controls, scanners, paperwork, and material-handling equipment.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving and enter and exit delivery vehicles repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors for extended periods and maintain the vision and hearing needed to drive and work safely.
Travel Requirements
  • Daily local and regional travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required and will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and safely operate company vehicles.
  • Prior warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, parts, or delivery experience.
  • Forklift experience and the ability to obtain and maintain company-required forklift certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MSHA certification, as required for assigned customer or job sites.
  • Ability to read and accurately complete delivery, shipping, receiving, and inventory documents.
  • Ability to legally work in the United States and successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience in a parts department, construction, mining, aggregate, industrial, or heavy-equipment environment.
  • Current forklift certification or experience with pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and related material-handling equipment.
  • Experience with inventory-control systems, ERP software, barcode scanners, or RF scanners.
  • Familiarity with heavy-equipment parts, aggregate equipment, or industrial components.
  • Basic knowledge of DOT transportation and load-securement requirements.
