The Role
Presidio is seeking an on-site AV Integration Technician who will be responsible for the installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems. The position will be onsite in the Charlotte, NC (Whitehall Park) office. The travel will be regional (85%) of the time, and you will be required to travel to client's sites on a regular basis.
Travel Requirements: You will be expected to travel upto client sites on a daily basis including out of town/overnight travel weekly (upto 75% - 85% of the time). It will be based out of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities include:
  • Onsite installation to include: the guided installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems.
  • Installation, testing, and termination of low voltage cabling to support Audio Visual implementations
  • Take instructions from Lead Technician and Project Managers to complete AV installation.
  • Complete basic rack wiring
  • Learning the basics of operating various collaboration platforms, continuing education for AV certification {CTS} for growth within the company is desired.
  • Assist with inventory, staging, and testing of AV and network hardware in preparation for installation.
  • Communicate with other trades and handle basic customer communication onsite
  • Travel to various job sites required

Required Skills and Professional Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or bachelor's degree and/or military experience
  • 3 + experiences in the low voltage or AV industry
  • Must be able to work on a ladder, lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds or more, stand for long periods, and be able to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience
  • Audio Video experience is desired
  • Any previous certification (CTS, Extron, Avixa, Shure, Biamp, Crestron etc. ) are valuable certs to have for this position.
  • 1-5 years of AV integration experience.
