Creston/Extron AV Programmer

Create Smarter, Seamless, and Innovative AV Experiences

GST is seeking a skilled AV Control System Programmer who is passionate about creating intuitive, highโ€‘performing AV solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy control system code, user interfaces, DSP configurations, and integrated AV solutions used by enterprise clients, educational institutions, and government partners.

This position offers a dynamic blend of handsโ€‘on system programming, inโ€‘house testing, and onโ€‘site commissioning. You'll work with cuttingโ€‘edge technology while collaborating with engineering, project management, and client teams to deliver integrated AV solutions. If you enjoy problemโ€‘solving, system logic, and seeing your work come alive in real environments, this is a great opportunity to grow your AV programming career.

What You'll Do

  • Program, test, and deploy control systems on Crestron, AMX, and Extron platforms
  • Design intuitive and consistent touch panel user interfaces
  • Develop custom modules, device drivers, and automation logic
  • Configure and tune DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.)
  • Review AV drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams
  • Perform inโ€‘house testing and onโ€‘site commissioning, verification, and acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot integrated AV, control, and network systems
  • Support project teams, manufacturers, and clients as needed
  • Maintain programming documentation, standards, and version control
  • Travel to job sites as required

Qualifications

Education/ Experience & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AVโ€‘overโ€‘IP and -DSP setup/calibration
  • Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues

Required Certifications

  • Harman Certified Control Professional (CP)
  • Extron GC-Pro
  • Crestron and/or AMX programming certifications

Preferred Certifications

  • CTS or CTSโ€‘D
  • Advanced Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications
  • Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
