Contract Assignment information

What is a contract assignment?

A contract assignment is the transfer of rights and obligations from one party in a contract (the assignor) to another party (the assignee). This means that the assignee takes over the responsibilities and benefits originally held by the assignor under the original contract. Contract assignments are common in business transactions, employment agreements, and service contracts, but typically require the consent of the other party involved in the original contract. Not all contracts can be assigned, as some may have specific clauses that restrict assignment, so it's important to review the contract terms carefully. Assignment helps businesses remain flexible and adapt to changing needs or circumstances.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a contract assignment role, and why are they important?

To excel in a Contract Assignment role, you need a clear understanding of contract law, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, often supported by a relevant degree or experience in legal, procurement, or project management fields. Familiarity with contract management software, document tracking systems, and electronic signature platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and adaptability help you collaborate effectively and resolve issues quickly. These skills ensure accurate contract execution, risk mitigation, and smooth project delivery in dynamic business environments.

What are some common challenges contract professionals face when adapting to new assignments and teams?

Contract professionals often work on diverse projects with different organizations, which means quickly adapting to new workflows, company cultures, and expectations. One common challenge is building rapport with permanent staff and understanding unique team dynamics in a short period. Additionally, contract workers must rapidly get up to speed on project goals and deliverables while managing the uncertainty of contract length and future assignments. Successful contractors are flexible, proactive communicators, and quick learners who can efficiently integrate into new environments.

We're looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to join Procore's Talent Acquisition Department on a temporary contract basis (6 months). In this role, you'll help facilitate a seamless interview process for candidates.
As a Recruitment Coordinator, you'll partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to execute a best-in-class candidate interview experience. This role requires agility and acute attention to detail to successfully schedule and reschedule interviews while managing multiple priorities that require you to shift gears at a moment's notice without missing a beat. If you're excited by the opportunity to play a pivotal part in our growth plans-we'd like to hear from you!
This position reports to our Manager, Candidate Experience, and will be based remotely near our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you'll do:

  • Distribute pertinent information to the hiring team
  • Develop a strong partnership with our Recruiters
  • Leverage Procore's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and scheduling tool to ensure an efficient interview process
  • Support special projects as needed

What we're looking for:
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Recruiting Coordinator or similar experience in Recruiting
  • Respect for confidential information
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Genuine curiosity about people, online networks, and technology
  • Intrinsic drive for success-we are growing quickly and you will be trusted to make informed judgments
  • Team-oriented and optimistic nature
  • Experience using scheduling software (GoodTime preferred but not required)
  • Experience with an ATS (Workday preferred but not required)

Additional Information
Base Pay Range:
20.80 - 28.60 USD Hourly
This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates:
Procore will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in accordance with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
