Job Description

A school district in Federal Heights, Colorado is seeking a qualified English Language Arts Teacher for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves middle school and/or high school students and focuses on developing literacy, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills. Candidates who are passionate about student achievement, engaging instruction, and fostering a love of reading and writing are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with Colorado academic standards
  • Develop and deliver lessons in reading comprehension, literature, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and communication
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation
  • Participate in parent conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills

Qualifications
