Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Restoration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help victims of disasters by assessing damaged properties, conducting water extraction, performing mold remediation, and cleaning/sanitizing structures. The ideal candidate is physically fit, familiar with power tools, and committed to providing excellent customer service during stressful situations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment: Inspect damaged properties to determine the scope of work, identifying what can be saved and what must be removed.
  • Water Damage Restoration: Perform water extraction, remove damaged carpet/padding, and set up/monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers).
  • Fire/Smoke Restoration: Clean soot, deodorize, and remove charred materials from structures.
  • Mold Remediation: Contain, remove, and treat mold contamination in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Demolition & Cleaning: Perform light demolition (removing drywall, flooring, cabinetry) and sanitize structural features.
  • Documentation: Take photos, complete daily logs, and map moisture levels for insurance documentation.
  • Customer Service: Maintain clear communication with property owners and insurance adjusters. 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in restoration, construction, or demolition is preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Certifications: IICRC certifications (WRT - Water Damage Restoration, ASD - Applied Structural Drying, MRT - Mold Remediation) are a major plus.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and work in confined spaces (crawl spaces/attics).
  • Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to participate in an "on-call" rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of hand/power tools, excellent communication skills, and ability to follow safety protocols (PPE).
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
