Functional Solution Architect, Data & AI-Solution Development-Hybrid(Raleigh,NC)
We areseekinga highly client-facing Functional Solution Architect, AI & Data to join our consulting organization. This role is heavily focused on supporting sales pursuits, driving solution development, and engaging directly with clients onsite & remotely to shape, position, and close data and AI opportunities. The architect will partner closely with sales teams, technical solution architects,contractsand proposal leads, and engagement management to translate business challenges into compelling, outcome-driven solutions, while alsomaintainingshared accountability for pipeline progression and deal closure.
This is a hybrid role, requiring one in-office day per week at our Raleigh office.

Key Responsibilities:
Industry & Client Engagement Experience
  • Lead onsite and virtual client discovery sessions to understand businessobjectivesand data maturity
  • Travel to client locations to support sales pursuits, workshops, and executive presentations
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and strategy sessions to align on priorities and roadmap development
  • Translate business challenges into high-value data and AI use cases aligned to measurable outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders during early-stage and late-stage deal cycles
  • Position data and AI as strategic enablers of decision-making and operational efficiency

Pre-Sales, Pipeline Ownership & Solution Development
  • Partner directly with sales teams to co-own pipeline development, progression, and conversion across targeted accounts
  • Drive solution strategy and positioning to align with client priorities and buying drivers
  • Collaborate with Technical Solution Architects to align functional vision with technical feasibility
  • Work alongside Contracts and Proposal Leads to develop compelling SOWs, pricing strategies, and deliverables
  • Support and lead RFx responses with strong value propositions and differentiated solution approaches
  • Present, defend, and refine solutions with executive stakeholders to accelerate deal closure
  • Track and influence deal progression,identifyingrisks, blockers, and actionsrequiredto move opportunities forward

Functional & Technical Expertise
  • Define data strategies, governance models, and analytics frameworks aligned to business outcomes
  • Translate business processes into data workflows, models, and reporting structures
  • Structure AI use cases with clear value realization and adoption strategies
  • Align data and AI initiatives with enterprise architecture and cloud platforms
  • Support development in theory of solution creation to support scalable data and AI operating models and accelerators

Leadership, Delivery Alignment & Engagement Management
  • Partner with Engagement Management to ensure solutions are executable and aligned to delivery models
  • Support seamless transition from sales to delivery through clear documentation and expectations
  • Maintain involvement post-sale to ensure alignment to client expectations and solution intent wherefeasible
  • Act as a leader in cross-functional deal teams balancing business value, technical feasibility, and commercial outcomes

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in data, analytics, AI, or consulting roles
  • Strong experience supporting sales cycles and influencing deal closure
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to or co-owning pipeline and revenue targets
  • Willingness and ability to travel for client onsite engagements
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills
  • Experience developing SOWs, pricing, and proposals
  • Ability to translate business needs into compelling solution narratives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
