Job description

Job Summary

The Operations Support Specialist is responsible to coordinate and manage a high volume of physician contracts with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. Duties include oversight of contract requests, preparation of contract exhibit and compilation of supporting documentation, management of centralized contract management system and regular reporting regarding contract status.

Essential Functions
  • Administer the physician contracting process, including management of contract requests, preparation of contracts and applicable exhibits, compilation of supporting documentation including fair market value assessments (FMV), needs assessment, and position descriptions.
  • Initiate Physician Onboarding process for all new physician contracts and ensure that necessary onboarding steps are complete prior to execution of contract. Ensure appropriate communication with all supporting departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, Payor Contract Services, Credentialing and Treasury Administration. Participate as a member of the Recruitment and Onboarding teams.
  • Preparation and dissemination of reports and notification of key contractual deliverables or milestone dates to Corewell Health East Medical Group and Hospital Leadership.
  • Conduct audits on the contract processes in compliance with the Physician Relationship Policy to ensure the validity and integrity of the physician contract data and to promote continuous process improvement.
  • Fulfill data requests from stakeholders as requested.
  • Assigned duties related to data entry, data maintenance, monitoring and tracking workflows and volumes in the Contracting System and Physician Contracting Access Database.
  • Support special projects and corporate integrity initiatives within Corewell Health East as assigned by the Director of Physician Contracting.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the Operation Support Analysts and Physician Contract Specialists.
Qualifications

Required

  • 5 years of relevant experience and training such as legal, auditing, physician contracts or physician operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; detail oriented; organized; interested in learning; promotes new ideas and more efficient processes
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required.
  • Strong communication, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
