Job description

Description:
Position: Entry Level Aircraft Parts Cleaning Technician
Location: Okmulgee, OK
Fulltime: Mon-Thu - 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
Looking for self-motivated individuals with a high level of integrity to join the Covington Aircraft team. This position will be learning to perform entry level work in our cleaning room cleaning aircraft engine parts. This position is labor intensive and requires being on your feet most of the shift, upper body movement, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting to 50 pounds. Mandatory DOT Drug & Alcohol compliance.
Primary Duties:
Through our in-house training program, you will have hands-on-training developing the necessary skills of the position.
1. Follow detailed procedures in the processing of engine components throughout the chemical clean line process, using various methods in the preparation of the part for repair and overhaul.
2. Perform various cleaning operations, such as chemical cleaning, power washing, paint strip, etc.
3. Routinely use overhead cranes and ensure cleansing tank times and parameters are adhered to during the process.
4. Demonstrate, on a consistent basis, the ability to follow detailed procedures.
5. Accurately log all process and results in department job log.
6. Communicate all work-related problems and issues with supervisors or other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
Workings using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods; frequently exposed to wet and warm conditions; the noise level in some work areas may be loud; follow all safety and environmental rules that apply; and use of safety and personal protective equipment is mandatory.
After mastering the above-mentioned skills, the successful applicant may have opportunities to learn other skills in the engine disassembly area.
Other Duties:
Job duties are assigned by the area Supervisor which may include tasks that would include, but not limited to:
• Engine disassembly
• Engine inspection
• Other duties as assigned
Any previous mechanical experience is not required but would be viewed as a plus. If you are mechanically inclined, we do provide some on the job training
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED (Equivalent)
• Mechanically inclined
• Lifting 50 pounds
• Detail oriented
• Capable of handling multiple tasks
• Tolerance for repetition
• Mechanical experience a plus
• Read, write, and speak English
• Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs
