Job summary: Hospital Administrative Director of Graduate Medical Education (ADME) is responsible for assisting and guiding initiatives as directed by the DIO to establish Sierra Medical Center as an ACGME-accredited sponsoring institution and open new ACGME accredited residency/fellowship programs. The ADME will assist and advise the DIO in the preparation of the ACGME sponsoring institution application and site visit and each Program Director in the preparation of their ACGME specialty program application and site visit. The ADME leadership role exists to direct administrative operations and maintain appropriate oversight and daily management of all graduate and undergraduate medical education programs. As the supervisor for the GME and UME program managers/coordinators, active leadership, and effective communication by the ADME is essential to the position and the continued success of each program manager/coordinator and each program. Includes responsibility for performance appraisals, discipline, scheduling, and any supervisory related duties. The ADME will assist, and lead initiatives as directed by the DIO. Formal recommendations for improvement to the DIO supporting accreditation requirements for both the institution and the program(s) fall under the responsibility of the ADME

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for updating ACGME ADS, reviews prepared responses with the DIO, ensures electronic approval and submission by the DI, by the ACGME due date.
  • Responsible for preparing draft copy of the Annual Institutional Review (A.I.R.) and submitting it to the DIO for review by October 1st each year; ensuring the DIO prepares the A.I.R. Executive Summary; ensuring the A.I.R./Executive Summary is presented to the GMEC. members in October/November for vote of approval; for presentation to the Hospital Board of Governors (BOG) at their December/January meeting; collecting and filing letter from the Hospital BOG indicating receipt and approval of the A.I.R./Executive Summary
  • Responsible for preparing/updating annual resident agreements and submitting to the Corporate Sr. Contracts Specialist for legal review and approval.
  • Responsible for preparing/updating faculty agreements for DIO review and submitting them for C-Suite and Corporate approval; Assist DIO to ensure a smooth transition for PDs, APDs, and Core Faculty into employment by HCA.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in education, healthcare administration or related field.
  • 15+ years of equivalent experience in a Graduate Medical Education administrative management and leadership role may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME). Experience should include GME program coordination or high-level administrative support for a department of graduate medical education assisting the DIO.
  • Medical Education certification (C-TAGME) preferred.
