Job description

Social Media & Content Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a bold, creative, and social-first Social Media & Content Manager to join our Marketing team. This is not a "post-and-hope" role, this is your chance to own the voice, personality, and growth of multiple brands across social media.
You'll manage multiple brand social channels, create scroll-stopping content with little direction, and bring our brands to life both online and in the real world. From attending events to visiting locations and capturing content on the fly, this role is perfect for someone who is outgoing, curious, and always ready to turn moments into meaningful stories.
If you understand the power of owned and earned media, can spot trends before they peak, and love turning insights into fresh ideas, this role was made for you.

Must live in Houston, TX and be available to attend events, visit locations, and create content in-market.

What You'll Do:

Content, Strategy & Creativity

  • Own social media strategy and execution for multiple brands across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Youtube)
  • Create engaging, on-brand content from ideation to execution without needing step-by-step direction.
  • Build and manage a holistic, multi-brand content calendar with a smart mix of owned and earned media.
  • Capture real-time content at events, activations, and brand locations.
  • Stay ahead of social trends, consumer behavior, and energy-shopping insights to keep content fresh, relevant, and impactful.

Community & Growth

  • Monitor social channels and actively engage with audiences to build an authentic, loyal community.
  • Develop and refine social response strategies that feel human, timely, and brand-right.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager to set monthly and quarterly growth targets.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze performance across platforms, tracking KPIs like engagement, reach, growth, and conversions.
  • Produce clear, insightful reports that tell a story, not just numbers.
  • Turn results into ideas: identify what's working, what's not, and pitch new concepts to level up performance.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Outgoing, fun, creative personality who's comfortable being out in the field capturing content.
  • 3 years' experience managing owned social media channels. Agency background preferred.
  • Proficiency in Canva and CapCut for social content creation and editing.
  • Hands-on experience using Sprout Social (or similar platforms) for scheduling, reporting, and social listening.
  • Demonstrated success leading innovative, KPI driven social media campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple brands and adapting tone, voice, and strategy accordingly.
  • Deep understanding of owned vs. earned media and how they work together to drive growth.
  • "Can do" attitude. Shows leadership and wiliness to take initiative.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a major plus.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Equal Opportunity Employment:

It is the policy of Just Energy to ensure equal employment opportunity in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations and guidelines. Employment discrimination against employees and applicants due to race, color, religion, sex (including sexual harassment), national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, military status, and veteran status or other legally protected class under applicable law is prohibited.
