Job description

Our client, an upscale Accessories brand, is looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Creator to join their marketing team. This role will set the tone of how the brand shows up online every day. This is a hands-on content creation role. This is NOT a coordinator who only organizes content calendars or manages agencies. The core of this job is making content that performs. You'll own the day-to-day social content creation and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms, while helping evolve the broader social strategy over time.
  • Please note that this is a hybrid position working Monday through Thursday in their Santa Barbara office.
  • The salary range for this role is $80-85,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Concept, shoot, edit, and publish short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Own the social content calendar, identifying opportunities around product launches, promotions, campaigns, customer stories, and cultural moments.
  • Capture content at photoshoots, events, team gatherings, and day-to-day brand moments.
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions and social copy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to ensure content aligns with the visual standards and creative direction of the brand.
  • Support and eventually own creator and UGC partnerships, including sourcing creators, developing briefs, reviewing content, and identifying top-performing creative.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement across social channels, including comments, DMs, and tagged content.
  • Build relationships with customers, creators, and brand advocates.
  • Monitor content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply learnings from paid social creative to organic content strategy, and vice versa.
  • Stay current on platform trends, content formats, and emerging opportunities for growth.
  • Produce short-form video content independently - from concepting and filming to editing and publishing.
  • Understand what performs across both organic social and paid Meta creative - balancing strong aesthetics with content that drives engagement and conversion.
  • Maintain brand standards - bringing strong visual judgment and a clear understanding of elevated aesthetic.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, preferably in DTC, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video content creation and storytelling.
  • Proven ability to independently concept, shoot, edit, and publish content.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Meta creative best practices, including familiarity with paid social creative and what drives engagement and conversion.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to attend photoshoots, events, and brand activities, with occasional evenings or weekends.

If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
