The Marketing Area Manager is responsible for the school-based marketing strategy, execution, and brand presence for Charter Schools USA schools in an assigned geographic area. Success is defined as strengthening the school's awareness, brand identity, and inbound interest to build a healthy enrollment pipeline in partnership with enrollment teams.
How You Will Impact Education
Area Marketing Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop integrated marketing plans for schools in assigned area, aligned to CSUSA corporate strategy, best practices, and guardrails.
  • Meet regularly with state and school stakeholders to report progress, set priorities, and prepare for marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of market insights, trends, and competitive landscape; recommend innovative strategies to improve relevance and performance.

Marketing Asset Creation & Management
  • Work with nationally approved marketing/creative agencies, providing creative direction for school initiatives (web design, collateral development, creative assets for ad campaigns).
  • Identify needs and coordinate development of marketing materials (signage, presentations, digital content, flyers, emails) that are brand-aligned.
  • Advise on how and when to best leverage PR opportunities in the area; coordinate with PR agencies/contractors as needed.

Digital & Media Campaign Execution
  • Identify local digital campaign needs (keywords, landing pages, integration opportunities) and inform national teams for proper execution.
  • Support SEO/SEM activities, paid and organic social media campaigns, and digital content strategy.
  • Monitor campaign readiness, performance, and optimization.

Community Engagement & Partnerships
  • Consult with schools on leveraging local outreach and partnership opportunities (community events, promotions, collaborations).
  • Ensure schools are equipped with appropriate materials for outreach events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community entities for marketing purposes.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Well-versed in marketing analytics and campaign optimization.
  • Creative direction experience for diverse marketing channels.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across schools and departments.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of general marketing strategy and support experience.
  • 2+ years of digital marketing campaign management.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and contractors.
