Job description

Summary
The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a hands-on writer-producer who executes the editorial agenda by creating, editing, producing, governing and updating investment and product facing content designed to support Distribution, Marketing, and Sales. This role is responsible for producing publication ready materials, managing versioning and approvals, enforcing editorial standards, and keeping the content repository and editorial calendar accurate and up to date. Additionally, this role supports ongoing product reporting and maintenance of core deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Writing & production (primary): Draft, revise, and finalize content to meet Distribution and campaign objectives including: research articles, market insights, presentation decks, product narratives, video scripts, email copy, web copy, etc.
  • SME coordination: Work with portfolio managers, analysts, and investment partners to gather source materials, verify facts, request charts/performance tables, and iterate drafts with SMEs.
  • Compliance & approvals: Prepare and submit materials to Distribution Compliance; working in close partnership to implement required edits, and manage process end-to-end through to publication.
  • High-impact asset execution: Ensure content is designed for impact, mapping to Distribution goals, meeting CTA/audience messaging requirements, leveraging best practices, and is aligned with campaign plans.
  • Quality control & editorial governance: Enforce Harbor editorial standards (style, tone, etc.); manage version control, and ensure content is publication ready, working with compliance for review/approval. Develop and maintain an editorial calendar.
  • Content calendar & recurring updates: Keep the editorial calendar current for investment/product assets and manage recurring content updates (monthly/quarterly/annual refresh cycles).
  • Product reporting support: Provide executional support across Content Marketing including insight and presentation updates, proofreading and client reporting.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • 5+ years writing and production experience in financial services, asset management, wealth management or a similar regulated B2B environment
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and fact checking skills
  • Solid familiarity with investment products (ETFs, mutual funds/CITs, SMAs, model portfolios) and ability to translate technical investment content for advisor/client audiences
  • Demonstrated experience managing editorial versioning, approvals and content repositories with high attention to detail
  • Understanding of major audiences across wealth & retirement inclusive of RIAs, Banks, Broker Dealers, Wirehouses etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & collaboration skills
  • Practical experience preparing materials for compliance/legal review and implementing regulatory edits
  • Strong project-management skills: ability to juggle multiple assets, deadlines and stakeholders

Preferred Skills and Tools
  • Experience with a CMS, marketing automation platform (Seismic/HubSpot/Marketo), Salesforce familiarity, and basic SEO knowledge
  • Familiarity with Morningstar, Bloomberg, FactSet, or other investment-research tools

Success Measures
  • Assets delivered on time and in publication ready form for Distribution and campaign use
  • Low rate of compliance/legal rework due to factual or formatting issues
  • Clean, consistent versioning and repository management - quick retrieval and minimal ambiguity about latest assets
  • Positive feedback from team on clarity, turnaround, and execution quality

Compensation Pay Range: This position offers a competitive base salary range of $130,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
