Job description

Column Technical Services is looking for a highly organized and strategic Project Manager to join a Marketing & Communications (M&C) team in New York. In this role, you will lead the coordination of complex digital initiatives, execute the digital experience roadmap, enhance our website, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive management of timelines, resources, and risks.

Schedule Notes: This role is 20 hours per week. The preferred schedule is Monday–Thursday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, with occasional flexibility on Fridays as a nice‑to‑have. The manager noted that there is some flexibility, but the core hours are generally:

Monday: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM EST
Tuesday–Thursday: 10:30 AM–4:30 PM EST

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the execution of the website's digital strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder priorities.
  • Establish a framework for managing multiple interdependent projects, coordinating timelines, dependencies, and resources for successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, content, operations, analytics, and products to understand requirements and impacts across workstreams.
  • Translate technical and product requirements into clear, actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings to monitor progress, address roadblocks, and guide key decisions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing transparent communication on project status, risks, and deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation within a project management system to ensure leadership visibility into roadmap progress.
  • Support change management initiatives to enable smooth adoption of new processes across teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine workflows to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable culture that keeps teams aligned on strategic priorities.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within digital strategy, web initiatives, or cross-functional program execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations or Communications.
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and drive accountability by tracking risks, roadblocks, and decision points.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder digital projects in website or digital transformation environments.
  • Ability to translate technical details into clear, business-focused communication, including impacts, options, and trade-offs.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar) for tracking progress and managing dependencies.
  • Advance proficiency with Airtable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse teams.
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to anticipate challenges and deliver solutions.
