About the Role & Team

Disney's Direct-to-Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.

The Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team leads content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive, strategic content approach for the service.

The Content Planning Associate will provide essential support to the global Disney+ Content Planning & Scheduling team within Disney+ Programming. This role will support initiatives related to the Disney catalog and acquired content, including database maintenance and auditing, localization strategy, global release strategy, and day-to-day change management throughout the lifecycle of a title.

The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative and diplomatic working style. This role will also help establish processes and enhance support tools and will report to the Manager, Content Planning.

What You Will Do

The Content Planning Associate will support global content planning and scheduling efforts for Disney+ by maintaining accurate title information, coordinating global premiere dates, communicating changes to key stakeholders, and supporting content throughout its lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the tracking and reporting of Disney+ global premiere dates for catalog and acquired content in partnership with global and local planning teams.
  • Communicate day-to-day changes and schedule updates to key stakeholders.
  • Represent Disney+ Content Planning in meetings and written communications with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Maintain and assist with the development of databases, reports, and documents for leadership and key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a title.
  • Support localization and global release strategies for Disney+ content.
  • Help establish processes and enhance tools that support content planning and scheduling.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects and requests.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in content planning, content curation, content strategy, or a related area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and independently manage multiple assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, and tact, with the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Sound judgment and instincts when navigating complex situations and environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and confidence.
  • Adaptable and comfortable navigating evolving processes, structures, tools, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) or linear television.
  • Proficiency in Airtable is a plus.
  • Previous SVOD experience.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree.

Additional Information

  • This role sits in the Glendaleoffice 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday with flexibility to work from home on Fridays
The hiring range for this position in Glendale is $72,000.00 to $96,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
