Job description

Your opportunity

At Schwab, youโ€™re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

We believe that, when done right, investing liberates people to create their own destiny. We are driven by our purpose to champion every clientโ€™s goals with passion and integrity. We respect and appreciate the diversity of our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve. We challenge conventions strategically to create value for our clients, our firm, and the world. We live and bring to life the concept of โ€˜own your tomorrowโ€™ every day. We champion our employeesโ€™ strengths, guide their development, and invest in their long-term success. We hire optimistic, results-oriented, curious, innovative, and adaptable people with the desire to help our clients and one another succeed.

Schwab Advisor Services (AS), a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. is the leading provider of custody, trading, technology, and practice management to registered investment advisors (RIAs). It provides access to sophisticated wealth-management services that help advisors attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete, and succeed in their business efforts. Schwab Advisor Services serves over 16,000 independent advisory firms who custody approximately $5 trillion of assets with Schwab.  RIAs choose independence because they are determined to take charge of their future. They want the freedom to serve their clients without compromise and to control their destiny as business owners. And like them, Schwab believes in doing the right thing for investors โ€“ it's a basic shared value.

The AS Business Consulting & Education (BCE) team creates and delivers industry-leading consulting, benchmarking, thought leadership, and education programs that help advisors achieve their goals and gain competitive advantage. Its extensive offerings include the RIA Benchmarking Study, immersive multi-week consulting programs, ProDirect Growth Consulting, the Schwab Executive Leadership Program and more.  BCEโ€™s impact is driven by its ability to create relevant, scalable programs that transform practice management insights into highly actionable strategies, further empowering advisors to grow, compete, and succeed. These programs are delivered by a nationwide team of experienced consultants who work closely with advisors to understand the firmโ€™s challenges and areas of opportunity and then map a path forward.

As a key contributor of the Schwab Advisor Services BCE organization, the Senior Manager, AS ProDirect Growth Consulting, is responsible for creating highly action-oriented consulting programs tailored for member firms while optimizing, enhancing, and maintaining existing ones. The role centers on building program frameworks and high-impact resources that bring them to life, including scalable tools, guides, worksheets, exercises and more. Together with our team of Growth Consultants, these programs and resources help propel member firms to new levels of growth and success on their path to becoming top performing firms.

BCE team members thrive on building connections, engaging with advisors, and delivering innovative solutions within a collaborative setting. They are driven by curiosity, a love of learning, and a desire to use their strengths to achieve significant outcomes.  The ideal candidate demonstrates adaptability within a dynamic, iterative workplace, values constructive feedback exchange, maintains a positive approach to professional collaboration, skillfully listens to and supports advisorsโ€™ needs, and is able to collaborate with and influence across multiple levels.

What you have

Required qualifications:

  • The ability to translate complex and varied inputs including market data, client and executive insights, and broad industry research into compelling stories and actionable programs of the highest quality.
  • Very strong content creation, writing, and communication skills
  • The ability to research, synthesize data, develop recommendations, influence partners, and report on status.
  • A โ€˜can-doโ€™, results-oriented approach to business.
  • A high degree of detail orientation and project management skills.
  • A bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully execute on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to understand audience needs and create high-impact action-oriented content and resources based on those needs.
  • The ability to understand dependencies and anticipate downstream consequences.
  • Very strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A proven ability to work in a fast paced, iterative, and matrixed environment.
  • A desire to be part of a team that celebrates and advocates for each other.
  • 7-10 years in a content creation and program management role.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA Degree
  • Experience working in a marketing agency or similar environment, creating content, thought leadership, and client- and/or advisor-facing assets.
  • Experience in the financial services industry and understanding of practice management and consulting
  • Strong knowledge of the RIA and other advisor channels
  • Experience working with and leveraging Copilot and other AI tools

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
