Job description

Overview

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to serve as a partner to the equity management marketing team - developing and producing content that earns attention, builds credibility, and drives pipeline. This is not a production or program management role. This individual thinks like a marketer, understands how buyers make decisions, and builds content that moves people through a journey. They will work as a senior IC embedded in a team of marketers, contributing to campaign strategy, engaging directly with customers, and producing content that sales wants to use and customers, broker partners and buyers actually read. AI is not an add-on in this role โ€“ it is core to how this person works, produces, and scales. The ideal candidate is already an AI power user or is genuinely committed to becoming one, and brings 7+ years of B2B content and marketing experience, exceptional writing skills, and the instinct and drive to operate at both the strategic and executional level.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the content strategy for equity business, aligned to pipeline, brand, and product launch goals โ€“ including editorial calendar, publishing cadence, and quality standards across all asset types.
  • Map content to buyer personas, funnel stages, and use cases across the equity management landscape (including private, public, broker segments), identifying category-defining angles and white space opportunities.
  • Write, edit, and produce highโ€‘quality content across formats including longโ€‘form, web, social, video scripts, email, and thought leadership.
  • Engage directly with customers to source insights, validate messaging, and develop reference content โ€“ including case studies, testimonials, and coโ€‘created thought leadership.
  • Build and manage a customer content program that turns customer outcomes into compelling stories and fuels both marketing and sales motions.
  • Translate product messaging into buyerโ€‘facing narratives that resonate with finance, HR, and partner/broker audiences.
  • Contribute to flagship content programs including research reports and categoryโ€‘level thought leadership in partnership with Corporate Communications.
  • Support in building and refining AIโ€‘powered content workflows that increase output, speed, and quality across asset types โ€“ and serve as a model for how AIโ€‘augmented content creation works in practice.
  • Partner with the web team to apply SEO and AEO principles to content creation, ensuring discoverability and organic reach โ€“ creating searchโ€‘friendly content that supports awareness, lead generation, and demand generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with PR and analyst relations on thought leadership programs, bringing audience and market expertise to corporate communications initiatives.
  • Define content KPIs, measure performance across the funnel, and iterate based on engagement, conversion and sales feedback.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales to ensure content is integrated with campaigns and actively used in deals.
How You Will Get It Done
  • Strategic Ownership โ€“ bring a clear point of view on content direction, audience needs, and what earns trust with finance buyers, and back it up with execution.
  • Writing Excellence โ€“ hold a high bar for quality and voice; you write, edit, and produce content yourself rather than directing from a distance.
  • Customer Orientation โ€“ build genuine relationships with customers, understand their stories, and translate their experiences into content that resonates with peers.
  • Commercial Instinct โ€“ connect content decisions to pipeline outcomes, not just brand metrics; you understand how content fits into a buying journey.
  • AI Fluency โ€“ you are an AI power user or actively becoming one; you know which tools accelerate content research, production, and optimization, and you build workflows that produce more without sacrificing quality or voice.
  • Drive & Adaptability โ€“ operate with urgency in a fastโ€‘moving environment, managing competing priorities and evolving strategy without losing momentum.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience spanning content strategy and marketing โ€“ candidates with a pure content production or editorial background without marketing exposure will not be the right fit.
  • Deep understanding of B2B marketing motions โ€“ how campaigns work, how buyers move through a funnel, and how content contributes to pipeline at each stage.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce content for senior finance audiences.
  • Proven track record developing content strategy with measurable pipeline or commercial impact โ€“ not just content volume or engagement metrics.
  • Direct experience engaging with customers for case study development, advisory input, or coโ€‘created content.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency โ€“ either current expertise with AI content tools and workflows, or a clear, proven commitment to developing it fast; this role requires genuine AIโ€‘powered production, not occasional experimentation.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and AEO principles and their impact on organic traffic, lead generation, and pipeline with demonstrated ability to create searchโ€‘optimized content.
  • Experience working crossโ€‘functionally with product marketing, marketing, AR/PR, and sales in a matrixed environment.
  • Domain knowledge in financial software, equity compensation, cap table management, stock administration, HR/finance technology or adjacent categories strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Benefits
  • Product Innovation โ€“ Help drive the growth of a purposeโ€‘built equity compensation management platform trusted by public and private companies and leading wealth management firms across North America.
  • AIโ€‘Powered Scale โ€“ Work at the forefront of AIโ€‘augmented content creation, building workflows and approaches that increase output without sacrificing qualityโ€”and serving as a model for how modern content teams operate.
  • Strategic Impact โ€“ Define the editorial direction for equity management content across all formats and funnel stages, with autonomy to identify angles and opportunities that differentiate us in market.
  • Collaborative Culture โ€“ Work with passionate, highโ€‘performing teams across product, sales, and customer success.
  • Professional Growth โ€“ Step into a highโ€‘visibility role, developing content for sophisticated finance and HR buyers, broker partners and compliance professionalsโ€”sharpening your ability to translate complex topics for multiple stakeholder groups, fastโ€‘moving financial services category with real strategic influence on business outcomes.
Compensation

The salary range in the United States for this position is 88,000.00 to 111,000.00 USD annual. Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience and qualifications. For nonโ€‘sales roles you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles this range includes a commission target. We are committed to pay transparency and fair compensation practices.

EEO Statement

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. insightsoftware is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, national origin, gender, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or parental status, disability, veteran status, or any class protected by applicable law.
