Technology Regulatory Litigation Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Technology Regulatory Litigation Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3-6 years of litigation and regulatory investigations experienceto join a cutting-edge practice focused on technology, artificial intelligence, platform regulation, and online safety. The successful candidate will advise leading technology companies on complex regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and high-profile litigation involving rapidly evolving legal frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in litigation and regulatory enforcement investigations involving technology, artificial intelligence, and online platforms.

  • Advise clients on legal issues related to content moderation, platform regulation, and emerging AI laws.

  • Respond to investigations and enforcement matters involving federal and state regulatory agencies.

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and regulatory submissions.

  • Counsel clients on compliance with evolving U.S. and international technology regulations.

  • Manage complex matters while serving as a primary point of contact for clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary legal teams.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in a U.S. state bar.

  • 3-6 years of litigation and/or regulatory investigations experience involving technology-related matters.

  • Experience with technology-focused litigation, investigations, or regulatory enforcement.

  • Strong familiarity with U.S. legal frameworks, including FTC enforcement, Section 230, and emerging federal and state AI and online safety regulations.

  • Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks, including the EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, and UK Online Safety Act, is highly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, research, drafting, and client management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Salary: $260,000-$390,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
