Position Summary


The Marketing Associate will support a wide variety of marketing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on event coordination, project management, client experience, and content development. This individual should be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, communicating with others, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. They should be comfortable working behind the scenes planning marketing initiatives as well as onsite helping execute client events.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and support client seminars, appreciation events, sponsorships, and other marketing events from planning through execution.
  • Assist with onsite event setup, logistics, vendor coordination, registration, and event-day support.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure marketing initiatives stay on schedule.
  • Coordinate multiple marketing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Assist with social media content planning, scheduling, and publishing across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Update and maintain website content using WordPress.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, workflows, and CRM initiatives using HubSpot.
  • Assist with developing and editing marketing content, including blog articles, website copy, email campaigns, newsletters, and other written communications.
  • Support the firm's content marketing strategy by creating educational and engaging marketing materials that align with the GDS brand.
  • Maintain organized marketing files, project documentation, and campaign assets.
  • Assist with marketing reporting, spreadsheets, and data organization using Microsoft Excel.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Assist with additional marketing initiatives, gifting, and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional marketing experience.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with excellent follow-through and accountability.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support marketing events.
  • Ability to lift and transport event materials when necessary.

  • Experience coordinating corporate events, educational seminars, or client appreciation events.

  • Basic graphic design skills with an eye for clean, professional design.

  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to write in a clear, professional, and engaging voice while maintaining brand consistency.

Working Conditions


This role is based in our Flower Mound, TX office. Standard business hours apply, with occasional evening and weekend work required to support client events. Some lifting and transport of event materials is required.
