Work Arrangement: Onsite – Can sit at JDF, Quad Cities, or Chicago office

Description:

Job Summary

The Business Analyst II will evaluate and improve business processes, support process improvement initiatives, and provide expertise in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and change management.

This role also supports the management and governance of digital and media assets across Media Asset Management (MAM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms. The position focuses on metadata management, content organization, search optimization, governance, and user support.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Management

  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Define, develop, and implement moderately complex process improvement projects.
  • Analyze business needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes and identify required changes.
  • Perform gap analysis and contribute to feasibility studies.
  • Identify and evaluate project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Develop or support mitigation plans and business solutions.
  • Support project change management, communications, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data for reports and special projects.
  • Review operations and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide guidance to team members and may serve as a team lead or subject matter expert.

Stakeholder & Project Support

  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and respond to concerns.
  • Execute project communication plans.
  • Support business requirements analysis and business case development.
  • Assign short-term work schedules when required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Digital & Media Asset Management

  • Support management, organization, and governance of digital and media assets.
  • Ingest, organize, and maintain images, videos, audio, and documents.
  • Apply metadata standards, controlled vocabularies, and taxonomy structures.
  • Ensure assets are accurately tagged and categorized.
  • Maintain and improve metadata quality and governance standards.
  • Conduct metadata audits and identify duplicate, outdated, or non-compliant content.
  • Support archival, retention, migration, and content cleanup activities.

Search & Discoverability

  • Improve asset findability and search relevance.
  • Analyze user search behavior and recommend improvements.
  • Optimize folders, collections, and categorization structures.
  • Support enterprise-wide content governance initiatives.

User Support & Training

  • Assist users in locating and utilizing digital assets.
  • Provide guidance and training on DAM/MAM best practices.
  • Create user documentation, FAQs, and reference materials.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for asset management processes.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure digital assets comply with governance policies and standards.
  • Verify rights management and usage restrictions.
  • Support content audits and reporting.
  • Assist with data quality and migration initiatives.
