Job description

Job Title: Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design Intern
Location: Huntsville, AL
Position Overview
Canvas is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing, Communications & Graphic Design Intern to assist with graphic design, content development, digital marketing, and corporate communications. This role offers hands-on experience creating materials that strengthen the Canvas brand and engage employees, customers, and prospective talent.
Responsibilities
  • Create graphics for social media, recruiting, events, and internal communications
  • Design and update flyers, brochures, capability sheets, presentations, signage, and other marketing materials
  • Assist with social media content, website updates, and the weekly employee newsletter
  • Draft, edit, and proofread short-form communications
  • Maintain brand consistency and organize marketing assets and templates
  • Assist with photography, video, trade shows, recruiting events, and other marketing initiatives
  • Monitor social media engagement and assist with content recommendations to drive engagement
  • Assist with special projects and day-to-day Marketing, Communications and Government Relations needs

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Strong design, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with others, and take initiative

Preferred: Portfolio or work samples demonstrating graphic design, marketing, or communications experience. Photography, video editing, social media, or website experience is a plus.
