Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development & Marketing Manager to support the growth of our home care services through business development, community outreach, referral relationship management, CRM tracking, social media engagement, and marketing support. Our goal is to continue setting ourselves apart from other home care agencies by building strong relationships, providing a high level of service, and attracting long-term clients who value dependable, personalized, and high-quality care. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, professional, creative, and comfortable representing a premium service brand in the community. The right candidate should be able to build relationships, identify growth opportunities, support marketing efforts, and communicate effectively with both external partners and internal team members.

Primary Focus

This role is focused on building meaningful relationships and increasing the companyโ€™s presence within the community. The Business Development & Marketing Manager should prioritize outreach that supports long-term growth, strengthens community connections, and helps position the company as a trusted home care provider. The focus should be on intentional relationship-building with referral sources, community partners, contracted partners, local organizations, and other professional connections that align with the companyโ€™s values, service standards, and growth goals. Community engagement is an important part of this role. This may include connecting with local businesses, healthcare and senior care professionals, community organizations, networking groups, and other partners who help expand awareness of the company and its services. Community events may be attended when they support relationship-building, brand awareness, or strategic growth, but they should be approached with purpose and followed by consistent outreach, follow-up, and relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with high-value referral sources that serve seniors, families, and private-pay clients.
  • Identify referral sources that align with premium home care, long-term care needs, and families seeking high-quality service.
  • Educate referral partners on company services, service standards, and how the company supports clients and families.
  • Develop referral relationships that lead to qualified client inquiries and long-term home care opportunities.
  • Track referral sources, outreach activity, follow-ups, referrals received, and next steps in the CRM.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding outreach activity, referral trends, active referral sources, growth opportunities, and recommended next steps.
  • Support company social media by helping plan content, write captions, and maintain a consistent professional brand presence.
  • Assist with marketing materials when needed, such as flyers, rack cards, referral packets, or educational handouts. Experience creating marketing materials is helpful but not required.
  • Attend select networking opportunities or community events when they support targeted referral growth and brand positioning.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain confidentiality when working with referral partners, clients, families, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, marketing, community relations, sales, healthcare, senior services, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with in-person outreach, professional networking, and representing the company in the community.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and remain accountable to goals.
  • Comfortable using basic office technology, including email, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and other internal communication tools.
  • Comfortable supporting business social media activity, including posting, engagement, and maintaining a professional online presence.
  • Willing and able to learn company systems, including CRM tracking and reporting.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and ability to travel locally for outreach visits and meetings.
  • Professional, dependable, and able to represent a premium service brand.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, healthcare marketing, private-pay services, premium service-based businesses, or referral-based business development.
  • Knowledge of high-value referral sources for home care and how to build long-term referral relationships.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track outreach, referrals, follow-ups, and relationship development.
  • Experience using Canva or similar design platforms.
  • Experience creating social media content, captions, blogs, newsletters, or educational marketing content.
  • Experience contributing ideas for ads, direct mail campaigns, social media campaigns, or community marketing strategies.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, polished, and strategic. They understand that premium home care growth comes from trust, reputation, consistency, and strong relationships with the right referral partners.

This person should know how to identify high-value referral opportunities, build meaningful professional relationships, track outreach activity, and bring thoughtful growth ideas to leadership.

We are looking for someone who can represent the company with professionalism and warmth while helping us attract long-term clients who value pristine, dependable, and personalized care.
