Our B.L.U.E.(Build, Learn, Understand, Enrich)Summer Internship Program is purposefully designed to inspire your imagination and help you guide your career with purpose. You'll be an integral part of McKinstry with hands-on experience, mentorship and a healthy dose of fun. Our program delivers depth and real experience so that you can truly evaluate potential career paths within the work we do.
What we lookfor in our Marketing and Communications Interns:
  • College Juniors or Seniors with availability in Summer 2026 (May/June start until August/September)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Introductory knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in business marketing
  • Experience telling stories across platforms (websites and social media) that drive engagement
  • Knowledge of and an interest in digital marketing creative trends
  • Collaborative, positive, and curious mindsets
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

What are our Marketing and Communications Interns are responsible for:
  • Developing marketing collateral in collaboration with marketing specialists
  • Updating internal databases with key information to drive data integrity and synergy
  • Supporting the proposal development process
  • Supporting client-facing presentations
  • Assisting with business development research, analysis, and reporting
  • Maintaining momentum around creative concepts
  • Creating website and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook) content to support sales and talent acquisition campaigns including project and people profiles
  • Social media community management
  • Working cross-functionally across the organization to identify opportunities for content development
  • Researching and creating messaging frameworks for goal audiences and segments
