Job description

Position Overview:
This position will assist with capturing video content at all Macon Mayhem home games. This position will report to the team Media Relations & Broadcasting Coordinator as well as Director of Social Media & Marketing. Must be local to the Macon area and have reliable transportation to the Macon Coliseum. Must have experience with capturing video of live events, with a strong preference to live sports. Must have own camera equipment and be available for all Macon Mayhem home games. Course credit is available for this internship if desired.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Capture live video content at all Macon Mayhem home games and other team events as needed.
  • Collaborate with team staff to incorporate live content into team social media coverage and other video content.
  • Encapsulate the experience of live sports in the form of both game highlights and fan engagement.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positively represent the Macon Mayhem.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Team.

Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
  • Must be available for all Macon Mayhem home games and have reliable transportation to and from the Macon Coliseum on gamedays.
  • Ability to capture professional-level footage of live sports is required.
  • Proficiency in professional-level video software is required.
  • Access to your own video equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of the game of hockey is strongly preferred.
  • A quick thinker who is able to follow directions as well as solve problems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Team player with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management and clientele.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
