What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Content Creator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Content Creator, you need strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, often supported by experience in digital media or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, SEO tools, and basic graphic or video editing software is typically required. Creativity, adaptability, and effective communication are standout soft skills for connecting with audiences and responding to changing trends. These skills are essential for producing engaging, high-quality content that drives audience growth and meets organizational goals.

What are some common challenges Content Creators face when managing multiple projects or platforms?

Content Creators often juggle several projects and platforms at once, which can make time management and consistency challenging. Balancing the unique requirements of each channel—such as adapting tone, format, and posting frequency—requires strong organizational skills. Additionally, staying up-to-date with trends and algorithms while meeting deadlines can be demanding. Collaborating effectively with designers, marketers, and other team members is key to ensuring cohesive and high-quality output across all platforms.

What is a Content Creator?

A Content Creator is a professional who produces engaging and relevant material for digital platforms, such as blogs, social media, websites, or video channels. Their work can include writing articles, creating videos, designing graphics, or producing podcasts to attract and engage audiences. Content Creators often tailor their material to suit the target audience and platform, using creativity and strategy to achieve marketing or communication goals. They may work independently or as part of a larger marketing or media team.

Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You

This is your chance to be part of Marketing team that attracts customers to Hilton through strong storytelling, top-rated rewards, and unique customer experiences and partnerships. As a Senior Director, Social, Creator & Community, you will define how Hilton shows up in culture globally. You will transform social and creators from a marketing channel into a primary engine for brand relevance, community, and customer growth. You will build a world-class, creator-powered ecosystem that inspires and engages millions of travelers every day. On the Marketing & Loyalty team, reporting to the Vice President, Global Media, Engagement and Partnerships, you will lead a talented team of marketing professionals. You will work across the organization to ensure social, creators, and community are at the heart of Hilton's marketing strategy. This strategy turns attention into connection, and connection into long-term loyalty.

What you'll do during a typical day:

  • Lead the Social team responsible for Hilton's global social presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Build a global social strategy that inspires cultural relevance, brand engagement, and meaningful customer connection
  • Build a global creator ecosystem, moving from one-off campaigns to always-on partnerships with creators as long-term brand collaborators
  • Develop and implement strategies that build a global Hilton community, turning audiences into active participants, advocates, and storytellers
  • Manage team members by providing guidance on priorities, creative excellence, and innovation

How you'll collaborate with others:

  • Play an active role on the leadership team that informs our Media, Experiential & Partnerships, Content, and Creative strategy
  • Be a strategic partner to senior leadership, helping shape how Hilton connects with customers in an evolving cultural and platform landscape
  • Bring a point of view on consumer behavior, internet culture, and emerging platforms and translate that into action across the organization
  • Work with teams to connect social and creator efforts to broader marketing, brand and loyalty initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented, work environment

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:

  • Shape how Hilton earns attention in culture through social-first, platform-native storytelling that inspires conversation and engagement
  • Build a social and creator engine that positions Hilton as one of the most culturally relevant and talked-about travel brands globally
  • Turn social engagement into deeper customer relationships, repeat engagement, and brand advocacy
  • Create seamless pathways from inspiration to booking to ongoing engagement, partnering across the business to guide long-term customer value
  • Define success through a combination of brand impact, engagement quality, and contribution to customer growth
  • Evolve Hilton's approach to social and creator marketing to stay ahead of platform shifts and cultural trends
  • Integrate new marketing techniques, tools, and ways of working to deliver a competitive advantage
What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of experience leading social, influencer and creator marketing
  • Five (5) years managing and leading large, globally dispersed teams
  • Experience in building and leading Social & Creator teams across global regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and execution for large, global brands
  • Up to 25% travel

It would be useful if you have:

  • Experience building brands that are culturally relevant-not just visible, with an understanding of internet culture and what earns attention
  • Experience transforming social and creator marketing into a meaningful driver of brand and outcomes
  • Creative and strategic acumen, with a clear point of view on brand storytelling in a platform-native world
  • Experience building and scaling creator ecosystems and communities, moving beyond campaigns to sustained engagement
  • A global mindset with the skill to balance creative ambition with measurable impact across diverse markets
