Bridge Marina, Inc.

Part-time

Medical, Dental, Vision

Job description

Responsive recruiter
Benefits:
  • Health insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible schedule

Are you creative, organized and social media savvy? Do you enjoy turning great photos, video and ideas into engaging content - and making sure that content actually gets posted?
Bridge Marina is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help keep our social channels active, engaging, current and true to the Bridge Marina brand.
This is a hands-on execution role for someone who understands what makes content work on social media. You'll turn photos, video, ideas and information supplied by our team and turn them into engaging content; tailor that content for different platforms; manage our posting schedule; engage with our online audience; and make sure Bridge Marina consistently shows up online in a fun, helpful and professional way.
You'll work closely with our marketing team, including our lead content creator, who develops many of our larger video projects and creative initiatives, as well as a small number of other teammates throughout Bridge Marina who regularly capture photos, video and moments from our docks, boats, events and everyday operations.
You don't need to be the person standing on the dock when the moment happens. You do need to know what to do with content once it gets into your hands.
If you're creative but also organized, understand social media, have an eye for what makes good content and get satisfaction from seeing projects through from raw material to published post, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator helps drive the day-to-day execution of Bridge Marina's social and digital presence.
You'll help create and maintain the content calendar, turn supplied photos, video and information into engaging social content, prepare and schedule posts, monitor our social channels, engage with followers, maintain online boat inventory and support email and other marketing efforts.
You'll work across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business Profiles and other appropriate channels.
This role requires both creativity and follow-through. We don't just need someone to load posts into a scheduler. We also need someone who can take an idea, photo, video or piece of information, recognize its potential, prepare it appropriately for each platform, get it scheduled and published, monitor the response and help us learn from what happens next.
What You'll Do
Social Media Content & Publishing
Take primary responsibility for keeping Bridge Marina's social presence engaging, organized, consistent and on schedule.
Our team regularly captures photos, videos, boating moments, member and guest experiences, team happenings, events, boats and other raw content. Your job is to turn those assets into content people actually want to see
Content may include:
  • Photos and carousels
  • Instagram and Facebook Stories
  • Short-form video and Reels
  • TikTok content
  • Behind-the-scenes moments
  • Boats and boating experiences
  • Member and guest experiences
  • Team moments
  • Events and happenings
  • Boating tips and quick how-to content
  • Seasonal and real-time content
  • Promotional content

Responsibilities include:
  • Help develop and maintain our social content calendar
  • Review incoming photos, video, information and content opportunities from our team
  • Identify the strongest angles, moments and stories within those assets
  • Turn raw photos and video into polished, engaging social content
  • Perform straightforward photo and video editing as needed
  • Write engaging captions, hooks, headlines and calls to action
  • Schedule and publish content
  • Maintain an appropriate posting cadence across platforms - high quantity and high quality
  • Ensure planned content actually gets completed and published on time
  • Coordinate content around promotions, seasonal priorities, events and business needs
  • Identify upcoming gaps in the content calendar
  • Proactively work with teammates for the photos, video or information needed to fill those gaps
  • Maintain an organized library of photos, videos and reusable creative assets
  • Check scheduled and published content for accuracy, links, formatting and presentation
  • Respond to routine social comments and questions

Create for the Platform
Help us make better use of each social platform rather than simply publishing the exact same thing everywhere.
You'll adapt the content, copy, format, length and presentation appropriately for channels including:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn
  • Google Business Profiles
  • X and Threads

You'll work with our marketing and content team to continually improve how Bridge Marina shows up on each platform.
Social Engagement, Listening and Reputation
Help create the same welcoming, helpful experience online that Bridge Marina works to create in person. Responsibilities include:
  • Regularly monitor comments, tags and mentions
  • Respond to routine social comments and questions
  • Engage appropriately with followers and other relevant accounts
  • Identify and organize useful user-generated content
  • Monitor relevant boating and local conversations
  • Help monitor online reviews
  • Identify real-time content and engagement opportunities
  • Escalate sensitive customer service, reputation or brand-safety issues when appropriate

Good judgment is extremely important. You'll be communicating publicly on behalf of an established brand and should understand when you can respond independently and when something needs additional attention.
Boat Inventory Content & Listings
Help make sure the boats Bridge Marina offers for sale are presented online accurately, attractively and promptly. Responsibilities include:
  • Gather available inventory photos and assets from our sales and on-site teams
  • Select, edit and organize listing photography
  • Gather accurate specifications and information from our sales team
  • Write clear, appealing boat descriptions
  • Create and maintain online boat inventory listings
  • Update pricing, availability and listing details as needed
  • Update or remove sold inventory promptly
  • Identify listings that would benefit from better photos, descriptions or presentation
  • Request additional photos or information when needed
  • Help maintain an organized library of boat and inventory content

Collaboration
Great social content requires knowing what's happening throughout Bridge Marina. You'll develop strong communication with teammates across our boating club, boat rental, education, sales, service and marina operations so you know what's happening, what may be worth sharing and what assets you need from them.
You'll also collaborate closely with our lead content creator and marketing team on larger video projects, campaigns and creative initiatives.
We value someone who is comfortable asking questions, requesting what they need, learning about our business and taking initiative rather than waiting for content to simply arrive in a perfectly packaged form.
What We're Looking For
The best teammate for this role combines creativity, organization and accountability. Just as importantly, this person understands that social media requires consistency and volume.
We want Bridge Marina showing up every day You should be comfortable managing a busy content calendar and proactively keeping it filled, with a goal of publishing multiple pieces of quality content each day across our social platforms. That means planning ahead, knowing what assets you have available, identifying what you still need and making sure content moves from idea to published post - consistently and on time.
You may be a great fit if you:
  • Have a strong eye for what makes social content interesting and engaging
  • Can look at photos or video and see the finished post
  • Understand Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Understand that different platforms require different approaches - and that one piece of content can often be adapted into several strong, platform-specific posts
  • Are comfortable using AI as part of your everyday content workflow and understand that AI can make content creation faster, but human judgment is still responsible for what gets published
  • Know how to prompt, direct and edit AI-generated content and have a strong sense of what sounds natural, engaging and appropriate for a brand
  • Are highly organized and comfortable managing and scheduling a high volume of content
  • Think proactively about what's coming next rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to post
  • Can adapt content and tone for different audiences
  • Meet deadlines and follow through
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Can manage multiple projects and platforms at once
  • Work well independently without needing constant supervision
  • Are comfortable asking questions and seeking information
  • Notice gaps and take initiative to fill them
  • Have good judgment about what should - and shouldn't - be published
  • Enjoy working collaboratively
  • Are interested in learning about boating and the experiences Bridge Marina provides

Boating experience is helpful, but it is not required. Curiosity and a willingness to learn are more important.
Helpful Experience
Experience with some combination of the following is helpful:
  • Social media management
  • Social media content creation
  • Short-form video editing
  • Reels and TikTok
  • Basic Photo editing
  • Canva, Adobe or similar creative tools
  • Social media scheduling tools
  • Meta Business Suite
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn
  • Google Business Profiles
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Product or inventory listings
  • Writing product or inventory descriptions
  • Social and digital analytics
  • Organizing photo and video libraries
  • AI tools that improve efficiency, ideation or content workflows

You do not need to be an expert in every tool on this list.
We are more interested in someone who demonstrates strong creative instincts, organization, initiative, good judgment and the ability to learn.
Who Thrives Here
At Bridge Marina, we take pride in our welcoming, engaged and safety-conscious team. Our culture is built around guest focus, personal leadership, dependability, initiative, accountability and teamwork.
We're a small business, which means roles are active and varied. Teammates who thrive here don't wait for someone to notice every opportunity or solve every problem for them. They ask questions, contribute ideas, help others and take satisfaction in work well done.
While this position may work remotely, you'll need to become genuinely familiar with Bridge Marina, our different businesses, our team and the boating experiences we provide. Great social media requires understanding the business behind the content.
During boating season, the pace is fast and there is a steady flow of timely content, events, boating experiences and opportunities to share.
In the off-season, the focus shifts toward planning, repurposing existing content, inventory, campaigns and preparing for the season ahead, but the quantity and quality of our posting schedule remains.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
